Happy Birthday Beautiful!

Today is Jessica's birthday. Jessica is the most amazing person I have ever met, and luckily I am married to her. Everyone knows the health issues Jessica has been dealt. But probably the biggest blow to her was not the fact she couldn't breath like everyone else....or all the other problems that come with CF, but the fact that she would never be able to have children of her own. Jessica is an amazing mom to Sepporah, but I knew that deep down Jessica always hurt because having a child of her own was a dream. Well God has blessed her and given her a son that she can love and care for just like she does Sepporah. Words really can't explain the amount of happiness I have for her . I love you Jess and hope this year is the best one yet!

For my Mom

I got an email from my mom this morning that simply yet powerfully said "Blog"....the translation of this single syllable word means "You had better get some pictures of Samuel up soon"....my mom is a warrior with the pen. So here are some pictures of the family:

The first time Grandma got to hold Samuel.

Eating a hot dog that Jessica cooked for me. She can cook one mean hot dog.

Crazy eyes Sepporah....she is looking at candy.

I bought Jessica a fire pit for her birthday. Sepporah dropped more hot dogs than she ate. I told her she would make a horrible American Indian wife.....her Indian name would be Dropwhatshecooks.....it would prevent her from getting married :)

Robin (Sepporah's mom) took some pictures of Samuel.

How did that get in here?

Sepporah dressed him and took this photo.

Batman sung by a Pug

I know there are a million videos on Youtube, but this one caught my eye and made me laugh. It's dedicated to Batman and dog lovers.

Look at this guy!

Aden is 6 weeks old!

BLOG WILL BE GOING PRIVATE

This blog will be going private by the end of the week. Any family members out there who've been reading from afar will need to send me their email address to get permission to read. Email me at black.pianos at gmail.com.

Some of Kristen's photography

I think these are just wonderful images....simple but interesting captures. I think she's found her calling. The one of our cat Hannah is so interesting...like the lioness in her coming out. Then the ones of Chuckles really capture his personality--he's so sweet even with his odd looks.

I have a feeling Jonah will become very used to mommy in his face with a camera.

1st Bath Night

We gave Samuel his first bath tonight....here was the basic rundown of how it went...

Samuel is asleep after watching the Michigan game..

He is awoken from his victory nap not knowing what is about to happen...

He knows something is up....

Naked...

Not a huge fan of the water...

Under the armpit...

Fresh and clean!

Finally Home

We are home! Jessica and Samuel are doing awesome! Its funny....because of Jessica's Cystic Fibrosis, she is prone to lots of coughing and clearing her throat. Well Samuel has had to listen to it for 10 months and is completely calm when she coughs....it actually soothes him. It is truly a miracle for how everything happened. God has blessed all of us!

First video of Samuel

This is my new favorite thing to watch

More Pictures of the Family (Matt's Family)

We went to the apple orchard. Lincoln loves apples.

Picking Cole up from school

Lincoln wasn't feeling good one morning so I held him and rubbed his belly. He fell asleep quick.
