My immediate family had talked about next summer going to Tennessee and spending a week down there. I was looking for cabins to stay in and came accross this company. After thinking about it, I thought that maybe it would be a great thing for our whole family to get together besides only on Thanksgiving. I know this companies cabins seem really expensive, but they are 7-8 bedrooms and if everyone went we could do it for a low price. I think if we do it as a one time thing, or maybe annually, we should do it in a really nice place. Anyways, tell me what you think and your suggestions besides " I would love to do it!" Sounds great. Mary's family just had a reunion in Colorado and it's really cool to be able to see all the family. This would be great for us because we all can fit comfortably and hang out. We are interested. For me, Spring (like May) is better than summer because of the activities i have with Youth group (a couple of trips). But I'd love to do it.
And can I just say that I think that this is a wonderful idea older brother. I am so proud of you.
Well I have baseball till the middle of June, and Sepporah and Claire started school so we would have to do it in either end of june-august. But Jessica and I are in and are going to start saving up for it.
I'm in! I better start knitting double time...
And may I say younger brother, that I think you are an absolutely darling person that has a personality that others only dream of having.

For me it is only about being able to do it financially. I am in as far as "want to".

Who would I contact for rates and reservations, etc? Is there a website or email/contact person. It's just best to book it and plan around it. Maybe for three or four days. A week is too long for me to be away. Matt, we can have a cigar or two! Mark too!

I think we would be in, depending on the cost and time of year. Grandpa didn't say a yes or no. Next year is the year for the every other year Thompson (family reuntion) at Pocahontas.
I remember the time our family met at cabins up in Michigan. That was absolutely wonderful. Going to TN would work great because of Bill and JoAnn living there (Grandpa Thompson's brother and sister.) We could accomplish two things, have fun with our family then visit them.
