Sepporah's First Day of School

Chris posts:

Here are some pictures of Sepporah's first day of school. She had a great day and loves school. We had no problem leaving her in her class cause she was already making friends and doing work. The first picture is of us outside the school. The second pic is of Sepporah inside the class behaving. After school we took Sepporah to go get some ice cream from Cold Stone and were being goofy. It was a great day but a happy sad one at the same time. Sepporah is growing up so fast. Just seems like yesterday I was holding her for the first time. Like Dan did, here are some pics of Sepporah and Claire from the beginning..

oh my heart...I have never seen that picture of Chris and Daniel holding their girls...and the baby pictures.
Wow...I remember holding Sepporah at Children's Hospital, hooked up to all those wires, and just staring at her and wondering what kind of a little girl she would be....
She certainly LOVES life and seems to be fearless except for bees.

Christopher is an amazing dad. You won't talk to him long before he somehow works into the conversation how much he loves Sepporah. Jessica is a wonderful second mother to Sepporah and Sepporah just LOVES Jessica. Both of my girls are blessed that way!

The background that the family might need about Sepporah's uniform is....it is a miracle they got her to wear it. One of the last visits to my house, Robin had packed the cutest outfit that a friend of her's had given Sepporah.
It was a skirt and polo shirt. Chris packed and only left that outfit out for Sepporah to wear. She was absolutely heartbroken. I mean real sad tears...not fake tears. The thought of wearing a short, straight skirt that did not twirl and a polo shirt broke her heart. She always wants to be in something frilly and something she can twirl in. As me, Jessica and Chris watched the heartbreak...Chris under his breath told me the bad news was Sepporah was going to have to wear a polo shirt in her uniform for school. On that particular day, the adults caved in and grandma remembered there was a skirt/top in the dryer, dad said ok, and she did not have to endure a polo shirt.

I couldn't wait to see the pictures. Looks like she was able to accept her fate, suck it up and wear the uniform with a smile. How Robin got her to wear a ponytail must be another whole story..she always wants her hair down.

Both Claire and Sepporah make friends really easy. They love easily because they have experienced so much love...even from their Uncle Matthew who would watch both of them when they were babies...diapers and all. He is an amazing uncle!

Next phase....no front teeth.

Oh, my gosh. They are so cute. I love it -- I wish I could have seen them way back when.

I came home last night to a Claire absolutely bursting with excitement. We could hardly get her to sit down and eat dinner because she was filled with goofiness and Kindergarten adrenaline.

So far there is one friend down -- Caitlyn -- and many more to come, I am sure.

Sepporah also made a lot of friends....although I dont think most parents would be proud of how she named them.....she named them based on the days of the week....each kid was given a day based on when she was going to get their lunch money from them....i however was so proud she new her days of the week.

How sweet and precious!!! These pictures tell a story. How blessed you are Christopher to have a little girl that is so full of excitement about life. And, how blessed she is to have a caring father. I especially like the picture of her sitting at the table in her classroom. And, the pictures of the two fathers with their babies, how special!

Make every moment count, because they grow up and out of our care so fast, then you will long for a day with them when they were still in your care.

How adorable -innocent and sweet!
I love it when she has a pretty outfit on and is holding a softball -the perfect demonstration of her genes! You all are wonderful parents!
