Daughters grow up so fast

Daniel's post(s) made me think of Kristen at that age. Only she would talk with you forever. She was quite a little storyteller and loved to share her days. Now she talks to her beloved little Charlie more than me--likely because I talked to her in mixed up accents. : ) Funny thing is she talks to Charlie in strange voices so I know I passed along the Thompson humor gene. She puts on the funniest improv skits of Charlie as puppet--keeps us all very entertained. Anyway, she's lovely. Thought I'd share.

Kristen,

You are so pretty. I like your hair that color and style.

These Thompson and Johnson guys and their accents!

Love you,
Grandma Thompson

Kristen has always been beautiful. I remember when she was a toddler she was like a little porcelain doll, and that effect never went away. I wish I got to see her more. And the dogs, too.

Can't forget the dogs.

Kristen,

I should have known when I said to my hairdresser, "How's it going?" as she put the drape around me...and she said, "The guy I've been living with for three years just left me and I'm devastated."

The back was absolutely crooked and the sides looked like they were cut by different people with blindfolds on.
My first "paid for" hair cut in so long...celebrating my new job. I wanted to float out. I booked it on my day off, and we were having a special speaker at our church for the weekend, and that called for a dinner at a nice place Saturday night for all the staff. I really finally had something to dress up for...and my hair...what a bummer. And the special speakers wife had a haircut that was so sharp...added salt to the wound.
I have a great mechanic, a great furnace guy and a great carpenter.
I just need that hairdresser I can count on.....

By the way...I agree you are beautiful!

Why does everybody keep talking about how pretty Kristen is and ignoring that gorgeous dog she's holding?
