Wow Em...that is beautiful! I had no idea you had artistic ability.
I just thought you were beautiful,
sweet, mature and smart. Amazing!

Aw why thank you! I do love to paint. I didn't think I had an artistic ability either until I took the class.

Does anyone get the sense that mom and I live for the blog?????
If there was a way to tell, I wonder who checks the blog most...me or mom?
I beg Gabe to tell us more about California and Mom begs Em to tell us the story behind her painting.

Well,
My assignment for my painting 2 class was an abstract painting. So I decided to paint a friend of mine and have her hair turn into the ocean. Everybody told me it would be too hard, but I did it and it turned out exactly as planned. Now, I'm onto my second painting for the class, my creative self portrait. You all will see it in a month or so!

Great job, Em. I remember you being a really artistic child. And then I was surprised when you got older and didn't seem to be into painting. Keep it up!

Good for you Miss E. save me a print...I will trade you for one of mine. Keep painting--there's an old saying in the art world: "You don't paint great 'til you've finished 100 paintings." So the sooner you get there... I am at about 60, maybe. : )
