I had a lifetime first today, as a chaperone for Claire's first-grade class. The trip was to the Troy Nature Conservatory where they went to learn about how sap is drawn from trees and refined into syrup. This was easily one of the most boring things I've ever attended. And yet Claire was thrilled beyond belief to have me there and that made it fun. There was even a random puker, who just spontaneously let loose during the mind-numbing 20 minute video presentation that began the event. Classic grade school: we've got a puker people!
Claire's bff, Kateri.

Daniel--speaking as someone who now pukes on occasion, I think you should not make fun of the little puker. Imagine his/her anxiety before and after puking.
BTW--was kidding. I forgot the smiley face cause I had to puke.
: )
There
Claire, you are beautiful in these pictures. It looked like you were having fun.
Daniel would never poke too much fun at that - for a minute I thought HE was going to be the puker on our trip to Nicaragua. :)
Daniel...the whole "mind numbing" factor of your field trip is hilarious because we have ALL been there. I read your account to my assistant and he laughed too. I remember endless hours at Greenfield Village which for some reason I did every year. I still can't believe people pay to go there.
