Claire and Sepporah started Kindergarten this morning. Chris will be getting me photos shortly. For now, here are some of Claire's big morning.
The cats came to say goodbye:
Her backpack for daycare was a pastel Hannah Montana special. For the big step up to Kindergarten, she chose a black and hot pink one. To me, the implications are obvious:
And for a little memory lane action:

oh my...I was smiling till I reached the last picture and now I am crying in my cubicle at work....she grew up so fast. I remember that little baby with the chocolate eyes...I just wish I could scoop her up one more time and kiss those fat cheeks.
The good news...she is so ready for kindergarten. Daniel...you have done a great job! I love how you love her and respect her personality.
Did you take her by yourself or did Courtney go too? Did Kirsten go? The last plan I heard about Sepporah was that Brian, Robin, Jessica and Christopher were all going together, in the same vehicle, to take her to her first day. The teachers had to be scratching their head on that one.
I decided to sit this one out and let Claire go with just mom and dad -- though Daniel asked me if I would like to come.
I'm glad I got to see them off at the house, though, and I can't wait to hear all about her first day over daddy's spaghetti tonight!
Oh Kirsten...I just love you. How blessed is Claire to have you in her life! Just last night my close friend Faith was talking to me about how she loves reading your little updates on your knitting items and how she just loves your zest for life. Daniel and Claire are recipients of your love and fun! I see how much Claire loves you and it just warms my heart.
family...I sure hope mom is alive...
she hasn't put an entry on the blog in four days...should we send a search party?
I think that Grandma might have had a stroke that day I didn't post anything to the blog
And Kirsten: she's a real go-getter that one. So full of zest.
What a special day for Daniel and Christopher. Was emotional just looking at the picture of Daniel and Claire. Daniel, I am so proud of you for being such a good dad and like Phyllis said, and for respecting her personality.
I am eager to see Christopher and Sepporah too. I will write something then.
You boys had a good example to follow. Your mom was a caring mother.
Now, since you thought I hadn't left anything on the blog for four days, and might send a search team to find me,I am notifying you that I was the only one that responded to "Matthew gets mushy." Also, I wrote a note to say who the baby is with great-grandpa Thompson.
Love you all,
Mom/grandma
Grandma putting you all in your place!!! I love it. The fight is still there.
mom is a little defensive....
She still has the title of most entries made!!!
Enjoy the ride Daniel! She is a doll and all too soon she will be off!
