My Little Princess

It's hard to believe that 6 years ago today was the happiest and scariest day of my life.  Sepporah was born a few weeks early on January 28, 2003, and her lungs were underdeveloped. She was in intensive care at Childrens Hospital for a week and each night I went to bed not knowing if I would still have her the next morning. I still remember the first time I held her. Right after she was born, they took her away because she was struggling to breath. I still remember watching her through the glass struggling to breath. 24 hours later they had to transport her to Childrens Hospital and before they did, they finally let me hold her. I dont think I have ever cried that hard again. About a week later, they gave her a drug for her lungs to speed up their development, and the Mighty Sepporah was born. Its hard to imagine that the same little girl I wrestle with now and struggle to keep up with was born premature. Words really can't express how much I love her.  Happy Birthday Sepporah.....Daddy loves you so much!

...and the nurse in the neo natal intensive care section told us that if she didn't know better, she would think Sepporah was kicking her booties off, because she would put them on her...come back by and they would be off. WE now know....SHE WAS KICKING THEM OFF! She has the hottest little feet and even riddled with tubes and all kinds of monitors, and being sooooo teeny...she was getting those booties off. Those that KNOW her...know her determination. I love the air that little girl breathes!

Happy birthday Sepporah!!!! Your Daddy sure wrote a nice thing about his love for you. Of course there are a bunch of others who love you, including me.

I'm a day late. However, until Sepporah can read I think I'm ok.
I just wanted to say that I'm so blessed to have Sepporah in my life.
She is a wonderful little girl with such love and enthusiasm for life. Through in her love for fashion and her strength and she is a fierce combination. :)
In spending my time with her I've learned how brave and determined she is. By the sounds of it, I think she has had those two qualities since the day she was born.
She has so much to teach me. I thank God that I get to learn from her.

What a doll! Created by God, sustained by God, for his own purpose.
