I sent this to my kids for two reasons...I worry about Daniel not getting enough nutrients with his limited diet...and my grandkids LOVE blueberries in any form and it was on the list....I DID NOT MEAN THIS FOR THE BLOG... I apologize to my southern food loving family....
Phyllis, we eat some of the food on the list but need to try more of them. Was good that it got on the blog. We all want to stay healthy and we need to do our part. It seems to be much easier to eat unhealthy foods.
Steve, explain the ACAI juice. What is it? Also, what is Culturele?
We go through phases of when we actually sit down to eat complete meals, but imagine a diet completely free of fast food, almost no dairy (and the fat that comes with it) and almost completely free of sugar and sweets, but with lots of beans, salads (yes, it's true), whole grain bread, and non-meat sources of protein (tofu, beans, etc).
As far as the list, I eat all of those things but sardines, and about half of it, though only a few regularly.
Thanks for the link though. I understand Swiss chard is great in soups and I make soup all the time, so I'll have to try to include it!
Kirsten...I love you...you are so funny. OK...the Daniel BEFORE Kirsten lived on PBJ, Macaroni and Cheese (which is devoid of any nutritional value if it is the box kind he ate)and whatever take out food he could afford at the time. SOOO...I am glad things have changed.
Mom...the ACAI juice Steve mentioned is in the health food section at Krogers and probably other stores.
Steve, I never could find that other drink you were drinking at Thanksgiving...probably because I forgot the name and was depending on knowing it when I saw it. On the probiotics, do you just go to a health food store to find them?

ACAI juice too! Tastes decent and has twice the antioxidants of blueberries or pomegranates. Has a bit of an energy boost too.
Also recommend taking Culturele. Probiotics en masse.
They say 70% of your immune system is digestion related so it pays...

Kirsten do you use Turmeric? If so how do you use it. I have tons of it and don't use it.
I'm not gonna lie, I've seen him put down a few PB&J's this week... baby steps.
