Kristen turned 25 last Thursday, July 2. Hard to believe. Seemed just like a few years ago that we were at a Milwaukee Brewers game--her in her little Brewers outfit. Kristen has always loved going to events so this time she requested a Daddy-Daughter baseball game. I flew back from LA in the morning and she picked me up and we spent the day in the Loop, St. Louis. We then headed to the game--dressed in our red. We had a wonderful time. She is still my little girl. I'm honored that she'd want to spend her b-day with her old man dad. But I was thrilled she did.

Oh man...THAT could have been on the Hallmark channel it was so sweet.
It is the highest of compliments Steve, that she chose that!
It is because you are fun, respect who she is, have nurtured her, do the "guilt free thing" really well and have given her space. When you give them freedom...they come back. (free observations from Dr. Phyllis Dobson Johnson)
I only wish I had taken a picture of me and Christopher sitting side by side, mining for rocks in the Smokies....LOL!!!
Happy Birthday Kristen. You are a sweetie pie, and I get such a kick out of hearing your dad talk about you and listening to all your dog adventures.
If you ever want to run away from home__ you can come and live with me. (<>:
ANOTHER HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH KRISTEN!!!!!
That is a wonderful picture and wonderful words from a Dad.
Happy Birthday Kristen. Sorry I missed it. It seems someone, whom I will not name, who is supposed to be the Thompson Madness Birthday Umpire, forgot to let us all know...
(Feeeeel the guilt!)
Watching you and your dad, and Emily and Scott, is what gives me hope for Claire's teenage years. Although maybe you went through a phase where you couldn't stand your dad... I don't know. But I'm going to assume that Claire and I can skip all that and hope for the best! Either way, it's great to see this picture of you two.
Ditto. A very memorable moment.
