Scratch that. Someone just stole my car.
It's still light outside. My neighbors across the street were sitting on their porch watching the whole thing go down. After someone peeled off in my car, they flagged down a cop and the police chased my car all the way to 6 mile and Van Dyke where they lost the jeep. But apparently the car started smoking at some point during the pursuit (not really fixed after all?) and they were able to locate the vehicle based on smell. Seriously. They sniffed it out.

Dude, who did the work on your car?
Wish I lived close. I have cars. Hope it all gets sorted. That's so crazy it's funny.
Tuffy did the work. Why, you think it's an inside job?
No. You should use my mechanic next time or this place my company uses. they do good work and are fair. Usually chain places like that dont do good jobs and are way over priced.
Maybe, when towing is not involved, I will take you up on that. I've been going to Tuffy for years. It's essentially a private shop that just happens to be a franchise. But my recent experience there could have been better.
Ok. Wetmores on woodward north of 9 mile is where my company takes all its vehicles. that is pretty close to you.
Skip getting a new mechanic. Get new neighbors.
If by neighbors you mean the city of Detroit, which is half a mile a way, and from which the thieves reside, you might be on to something there.
No...I meant that they watched your car get stolen and didn't stop it.
They were Johnny on the Spot about it. The guy got into my car and hotwired it in like a minute flat. They probably called 911 as well as ran out to flag down a cop car when it happened.
Oh...I misread your entry. I was picturing them chillin on the porch watching them steal your car and then they did something.
