Aden Update

Aden is officially a month old and getting so big! He is so alert! He likes to focus on lights and ceiling fans and really likes having tummy time with dad.

What's Up in N Illinois, Thompson clan #4

Bonjour ma famille,

That's right. French. I am enrolled in weekly French lessons. Il me maintient occupé.

Emily is in her 1st year of university challenge at SIU, Carbondale, IL, where she is focusing her studies on Nursing. She is adjusting very well and is difficult to get hold of, which means that every time I call, or every 10 minutes, she does not always answer.

Gabe is enrolled at Rock Valley College where he is getting his basic requirements out of the way before attending another university. He drives a 1978 Mercedes Benz Diesel Coupé. 0-60 in under an hour. For those counting, we have 4 cars, 4 motorcycles, and a lawnmower.

Our dog BoBo continues to frighten neighbors with a full-speed ahead rush out to the limits of her electric fence. She is a menace to those who don't know about the electric fence/shock collar.

Cole's First Day of Kindergarten

Mary let Cole pick out his outfit for the first day of school. We're pretty sure it was the exact same outfit he picked out last year for the first day of preschool. The fake smile is his default.

His teacher is Miss Henry.

Cole already knew a kid in his class from a program that Mary does for the county.

Cole handled it fine. He barely waved. It was bitter sweet for us. Happy for how great a kid he is and sad that we won't have him at home during the day. It's tough letting your kid grow up.

Awfully Big Baby

This is a sneak peak at the new TV show we're currently in production on. It's called Awfully Big Baby and is a sitcom about a family and their new baby, who is shockingly large and born with a full head of hair and teeth. Naturally, hilarity ensues. She finally wiggled this one out herself at school after I failed two nights in a row to extract it using the door/twine method. I still can't comprehend why this is such a milestone for kids but she's really happy about it.

Aden Update

From Sarah:

Aden is getting so big! He just had his two week check-up and he already weighs in at 8lbs 7.5oz!! Though mommy doesn't get much sleep, and sometimes Aden has fussy spells, it's all worth it! We are so blessed. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He will be a big boy in no time! These are pictures taken by a professional photographer at the hospital. Enjoy!

Claire got her ears pierced a few weeks ago. She was ecstatic.
