In case you are perplexed about Cole's clothing...he LOVES David and Goliath. GG made him a David outfit which he has the "dress/shirt" part on in every picture (even when he was a pirate). When he got GG's pkg with his David outfit, he was ecstatic! He got his picture Bible out and showed me all the parts of his outfit (GG really got it right). Then he stares at the picture awhile and quietly says, "Grandma, I need Saul's armor".
As you know, Saul put his armor on David before he went out to defeat Goliath and it was to big...
I found some armor at a costume shop. I was so happy I found it. The funniest part...as he was putting it on at one point he told me that the helmet was ACTUALLY (his word) the one the soldiers that guarded the tomb wore.
The little guy even knows his periods of correct armor. He was right on too. I just bought the cheapest helmet because the one from Sauls period was 40 dollars.
I mean that little boy doesn't miss a thing. But he was happy to play pretend...even if it wasn't all from Saul's time.
Now you know why Matthew looks like a mish mash soldier.
