Munchkin Mischief

I watched my nephews overnight Friday and, after coming over for dinner, Claire and Daniel ended up crashing with us too. The kids had a blast.

Here are the major players in this 18 hours of fun:

Claire June, soon to be 7

Lucas Ambrose, 4

Anthony Richard, soon to be 2
(Claire said the other day that Anthony was kind of
like one of her birthday presents when she turned 5)

The kids enjoyed pizza and ice cream sundaes on Friday night, then off to bed after a few minutes of playtime for the little ones.

The kids flock to Daniel when he's around.
There's no such thing as alone time for him in this house.

Surprisingly, Claire was up first on Saturday, followed by Lucas and Anthony. Once everyone was up, we settled in for homemade buttermilk pancakes.

Once I got the kitchen all cleaned up, I decided the kids needed to let off some steam. I enlisted Daniel's help in wrangling the kids at the park before heading off to work.

Anthony is Daniel's little buddy. We regularly Skype or video chat with him and Anthony seems kind of amazed when Dan's around in person. Friday night, he just kept saying "Hi, Dando" over and over again.

I can't for the life of me figure out why we don't have this kid modeling to pay for college yet.

Lucas is usually very cautious at the park, but I saw him being a little more daring to try to keep up with Claire!

Everyone fights for top position when Dan's around.

But they worked it out pretty quickly.

We looked for fish together.

Then we let the monsters run around in the open field
on the other side of the bridge to burn some energy before heading back home to eat lunch.

Everyone had a great time and got along really well!
It's always nice that Claire is like a mini-mom, too.
I may have to put her on the payroll!
