Absolutely controlled by the weather. In Detroit, it was usually so cold at Easter, if we hid them, it was in the boys bedrooms. There were eggs in there for years....
I am going on record as saying the creative stuff surrounding Easter...big disappointment for this mother of three. I would get all this cool decorative stuff and colors. All they wanted to do was dip the eggs over and over. They didn't want the glitter or decals... Consequently, when you mix enough colors, dipping over and over, it is always black. Every Easter, no matter how I would try and get them to do pretty things on the eggs....we ended up with black Easter eggs. That is why you see no pictures of the boys and Easter eggs. To add insult...they just wanted to throw them...not put them in a basket and look at them.
Ignore Matt. He's a hater. Mom got us baskets every year. I know this because I can remember being a teenager and waking up on Easter morning to some frou frou basket full of candy and whatnot and thinking, "why?"
I also remember dying easter eggs. Doing it with Claire and Kirst, the smells and everything, brought it back bigtime.
Ha ha. I love it. The Easter Bunny always hid eggs in our house in the living room -- lots of good nooks and crannies in there. And if it was open to the whole house, we would have been looking for days.
Anyway, thanks for the info. Sounds like I should be telling Daniel to "pipe down," huh?

Those are some fancy eggs! Did Claire take part in an Easter egg hunt? Great memories were made.
We didn't go to any "real" Easter egg hunts, but she did find the eggs we colored, which the Easter Bunny hid around our living room.
Can we take a little poll -- our family always had them hidden in the house. Daniel wanted them outdoors. He conceded, but what do you all do?

Don't let my mom kid you. We never did anything with eggs nor did we get baskets. She says we did but I don't remember anything.
Mom, your comment made me laugh out loud.
