She's a beaut. And all decked out for Karen to join me as soon as I get good enough to add a passenger. I've done 150 miles already and it's a blast. And yes, I do wear a helmet. (This pic was posed for so Kristen could take the pic with her camera phone.) The roads around Edwardsville are amazing for biking. Lots of rolling country roads with great scenery and small towns to check out. Easy to avoid the highways. Scott and Matt--a ride?

Poor mom...reading this post on Mother's Day. Just the thought of two sons and a grandson out on the road...on their motorcycles.
Stephen...when you said rolling hills..she heard..role-over.
When you said scenic she thought...keep your eyes on the ROAD!
When you said little towns...she thought..."I think there are really slow speed limits in small towns."
She's a beast. Nice color too. There is nothing better than a ride in the country on a beautiful day.
Mom worries too much. I told her I wear a helmet when standing on the bike. I slow to 70 in traffic. I only weave in and out when it's really bad traffic. I honk when tailgating. I mean, come on...I took a course and all. I don't get the concern...
So time for a Thompson/Johnson Route 66 tour. Anyone interested?
Because I am your Mom, get it? Once a mother always a mother. I promise to not worry though about you on your motorcycle, not much anyway.
Grandma told me that Scott's been riding without a helmet. That is just stupid.
